Reunion of the 2nd Of October, 2013

Dear Old Victorian,

The very different Cairo October Reunion was attended by 18 persons. It was held at the Egyptian Center for Culture and Art (MAKAN).

Members and spouses started gathering at 7:15 p.m. a fantastic show of Zar music started at 8:00 p.m. and lasted for one and half hours. This was followed by a short-recorded video of some of the typical folkloric music played in different parts of Egypt and of foreign shows that took place in the center.

All who attended were extremely impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere of the evening (a short clip is attached to allow you to get the feel of the music).

The evening’s success has encouraged the Association to add in the future to its monthly dinner reunions different activities such as sightseeing tours for its members and spouses.

The next reunion will be held on Wednesday the 6th of November so keep that date free.
