Reunion of the 3rd June, 2015

Dear Old Victorian,

The June Reunion was held in the prestigious Diplomatic Club in downtown Cairo on Wednesday the 3rd and hosted as its speaker our fellow Association Member Hany El Messiry (VCA 1982) who is presently the Governor of Alexandria. Fifty persons attended the Reunion including a large number of spouses giving the evening a pleasant atmosphere. The gathering started at 7:30 p.m. in the two chic salons of the first floor which was recently redecorated.

The talk started at 8:15 p.m. and lasted for forty five minutes including the question and answer session. The Governor reviewed his first three months in office emphasizing the major difficulties he has encountered and the colossal size of work that needs to be done. The Association is sure that as the Governor is an Old Victorian he will be able to guide our beloved Alexandria back on track to the good old days we all remember.

Our board member Mohamed Sidky (VCC 1961) announced after the talk, that the Association would like to donate a statue designed by the famous artist Mostapha El Razzaz to Alexandria. In order to do this, the Association would like its members to start donating any amount no matter how small, will help to achieve its goal.

A delicious special dinner was served at 9:00 p.m. with the Reunion ending at 11:00 p.m.

Best Regards
