Reunion of the 6th of March, 2019
Dear Old Victorian,
The March Reunion was held as scheduled on Wednesday the 6th in the Babylon Ballroom at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel Cairo.
The speaker of the month was Dr. Mamdouh El Damaty, former Minister of Antiquities. The 23 persons that attended the talk were enriched by his very informative presentation” The Old Egyptian Queens”. Dr. Damaty pointed out that as far back as five thousand years ago Queens ruled Egypt in their own right. As Queens married to kings and as Queen mothers to young Kings. He concentrated on the rule of Queens Hatshepsut and Cleopatra the 7th and ended by Soultana Shagaret El Dor.
A very delicious dinner was served 9:00 p.m. with the Reunion ending at 10:00 with all looking forward to the next Reunion which is scheduled for April the 3rd. Please keep that date free and make an effort to attend.
