November 2021
Dear Old Victorian,
The November Reunion was held on Tuesday the 23rd at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel in the Teba Ballroom room and was attended by 31 persons.
The Speaker of the month was Ambassador Nabela Makram, Minister of Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates , a Ministry that was reactivated on 2015 after being dropped from the government for a quarter of a century. The Minister enlightened us with the roles, responsibilities and the huge achievements that took place over the past six years.
The very valuable talk given by the extremely active and charming Minister lasted for almost an hour instead of the scheduled half hour and was followed by a question and answer session.
Before dinner, Appreciation Awards were handed out to the attending members who sponsored and donated money to the Association to help keep it alive ,an action which will be repeated in the future to donating members when attending the Reunions. These Awards were given to Mounir Doss (VCC 1958), Aly Saleh (VCC 1959), Omar Hussein (VCC 1960), Mohamed Sidky (VCC 1961), Hassan El Haywan (VCC 1963), Nevine Labib (VCC 1971) and Galal El Ghor (VCA 1981).
The previously announced Nile Cruise was immediately booked within a few days.
Dinner was served at 9.00 p.m with the Reunion ending at 10.15 p.m with all looking forward to the next Reunion.
Best Regards
