Reunion of the 4th of January, 2017
Dear Old Victorian,
The January Reunion took place on Wednesday the 4th at the prestigious Diplomatic Club in downtown Cairo. Spouses were invited and it was attended by 29 persons.
The speaker of the month was the famous Painter, Sculptor, Photographer, Art Professor Moustapha El Razzaz, founder of the Faculty of Specific Education, Cairo University. Professor Razzaz enlightened us with the history of our Egyptian art starting from the time of the Ancient Egyptians till the present time.
This was followed by a slide show of about 50 items out of which four paintings are attached. One of these paintings was sold in 1999 for over one and a half million pounds. Can you guess which one it is? As the talk was very interesting, it lasted for an hour instead of the scheduled half hour.
Dinner was served at 9:00 p.m. and the Reunion ended at 10:30 p.m. with all looking forwarded to the February Reunion which will host a very important speaker namely General Morad Mowafy .
