Reunion of the 10th of October, 2018
Dear Old Victorian,
The October Reunion was held on Wednesday the 10th of October in the Babylon Ballroom at the Semiramis Intercontinental Hotel Cairo and was attended by 30 persons.
The speaker of the month was Dr. Samir Farag, Senior Strategist, Security & Defense Advisor to the President. General Farag was a young office at the time of the October war and was a witness to what was going on in the War’s Operation Room. He gave a talk that lasted for over one hour and covered things that were unknown to the attendees, emphasizing that the Egyptian army’s performance changed quite a few norms for equipments and armaments used by armies at that time.
Dinner was served at 9:00 p.m. with the Reunion ending at 10:30 p.m. the next Reunion will be held on November the 7th and the speaker of the month will be Hatem El Ayat (VCC 1960) who will be talking about a very important subject “Is Egypt ready for Nuclear Energy” so please keep that date free.
